There's two ways you can intrepret today's joke. The first, and most obvious, is that Parrot is expecting the whistle to make a sound and then realize it doesn't. But actually, the joke is that parrots have beaks, not lips, and can't actually blow the whistle in the first place. Just something I thought my two readers would like to know.
